Once you have all the words on separate layers, make it so you can't see them(By click the eye icon next to the layers). Then Window > Animation. A bar should appear at the bottom of the screen, it'll already have the first frame. Make only the first word visible and click new frame on the bar that appeared when you clicked animation.
